The goal of this challenge is to read 50 (or whatever number you choose) books between January 1 to December 31.
The goal of this challenge is to read 26 authors with surnames from A to Z between January 1 to December 31. It doesn’t have to be in alphabetical order, though some people prefer it. You can also read alphabetically by title, but I prefer doing it by author.
Read a certain number of ebooks between January 1 to December 31.
Levels:
- Floppy disk – 5 ebooks
- CD – 10 ebooks
- DVD – 25 ebooks
- Memory stick – 50 ebooks
- Hard drive – 75 ebooks
- Server – 100 ebooks
- Human Brain – 150 ebooks
This challenge runs from Jan 1 to Dec 31. The point is to find and read books by authors that are new to you. You can choose 15, 25 or 50 new authors.
Anthologies are a good way to read new authors but this shouldn’t take up more than a 1/3 of the books you read.

Grab a Book and Pull Up a Seat
This is a book group that I follow on Shelfari. They are an adults only (though I’m not sure why) club. Every month they have a mini challenge like, read a book with a monster on it, or read something about going back to school, etc.
The goal of this challenge is to read a certain number (of your choosing) of pages a year. I am only participating to see how many pages I end up reading, because the number can be rather surprising.
Got any interesting reading challenges you are participating in? Comment below! I love to read about other people’s reading challenges.
