Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
‘No, Seaweed Brain. That’s hummus. Hubris is worse.’
‘What could be worse than hummus?’

Lol!! Rick Riodan is one heck of a writer, now why didn’t these lines make it into the film? Colour me #disappointed and #severelydispleased. lol.

hahah the movies are (well at least the first, haven’t seen the second yet) really different. Still good but… not the same

I guess there’s such a time gap between the movies and the characters are so much older than in the books that there had to be significant changes.

It was mostly the plot changes that got me. I saw the first movie before reading the books and was just confused that there was no mention of pearls or anything of the such.

Movies adapted from books are a bit of a poisoned chalice – on the one hand you’re psyched because you get to see it all acted out, on the other… There are always going to be changes, which sucks.

Sometimes the changes are good and sometimes they’re not. LOTR was a good adaptation in my opinion but I only had the series read to me (haven’t actually read it) but from what I can tell it was good.
