Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I have two this week from the same book because they are both good. This first one made me giggle a lot:

I intend to marry Agatha myself. She may be a thousand years old, but she makes an incomparable jam tart. Beauty fades, but cooking is eternal.

Will Herondale from Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare. And my second teaser:

‘Some of these books are dangerous,’ he said. ‘It’s wise to be careful.’
‘One must always be careful of books,’ said Tessa, ‘and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us.’

Will Herondale and Tessa Gray from Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare.

Got any good quotes from your current reads?
